Ric Lewis Holloway Obituary

Duck River, TN - Ric Holloway, 65, of Duck River, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on May 30, 2026.

Born on October 5, 1960, Ric was a strong-willed, caring, patriotic, and kind-hearted man whose greatest joy in life was his family. He was a devoted husband, father, brother, grandfather, and friend who touched the lives of many through his generosity, determination, and willingness to help anyone in need.

For 32 years, Ric shared a loving marriage with his wife, Diane Holloway. Together they built a life centered on family, love, and unwavering support for those they cared about. Diane's devotion as a wife, mother, and grandmother was a source of pride and comfort to Ric throughout their years together.

Ric was known for his remarkable ability to repair, rebuild, and restore just about anything with a motor. Whether it was a lawn mower, vehicle, engine, or machine that others had given up on, Ric saw possibility where others saw problems. Family and friends often said, "If Ric couldn't fix it, nobody could." He rarely threw away a part, believing it would someday have another purpose. His workshop was more than a place to work—it was where creativity, determination, and skill came together to solve problems that others thought impossible.

Above all else, Ric treasured his role as a grandfather. Nothing brought him greater happiness than spending time with his grandchildren, sharing stories, offering guidance, and creating memories that will be cherished forever. His love for them was evident in every moment they spent together.

Ric is survived by his beloved wife of 32 years, Diane Holloway; his son, Matt Holloway and wife Megan Holloway; his stepson, Justin Strange and wife Leslie Strange; and his treasured grandchildren, Addie "Oodie" Holloway, Riley "Tiny Dancer" Strange, Olivia "Sweet Eyes" Holloway, and Remi "Love" Holloway. He is also survived by his brothers, Tim Holloway and wife Sherry Holloway, and Derek Holloway.

Ric was preceded in death by his brother, Eddie Holloway.

Though his hands are now at rest, the things he built, repaired, and passed down will remain as lasting reminders of the life he lived. More importantly, the love he shared with his family, the lessons he taught through example, and the memories he created with those closest to him will continue for generations.

Ric will be deeply missed, lovingly remembered, and forever carried in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
